Relax

Spread out over 6 acres and consisting of lush tropical landscape and unique plantings, we are on the quiet, east end of the island, near the historic and still functioning Sanibel Lighthouse. Tour the stunning botanical gardens, including the hibiscus collection and butterfly garden, or enjoy relaxing with a book from our library next to the gurgling fountain while taking in the fragrant flowers. You may also choose to join the weekly shelling lecture before hitting the beach to collect your own treasures.

Drop Anchor!

Bring your boat! Ask us about our newly refurbished docks on the canal side of Sanibel Moorings that can accommodate boats up to 25 feet, giving easy access to the Back Bay and Gulf of Mexico. You’re welcome to fish on the beach or off the Sanibel Moorings docks. Tarpon, Snook, and Sea Trout are just some of the popular catches during high season. In fact, the Sanibel – Captiva area is known as one of the top tarpon fishing locations in the world. Fire up one of our BBQ grills and cook your fresh catch for an outdoor picnic before retiring to your condo.

Exercise

If your pleasure runs to a little more activity than sitting on the beach or watching nature go by, then Sanibel Moorings has something for you as well. Bring your tennis and pickleball equipment and perfect your serve on our private tennis/pickleball courts, take advantage of the exercise room or relax in one of the two heated pools. Parents will love the separate kiddie pool for little ones.

By Land or Sea

Kayaks and canoes are available for exploring the quiet backwaters. Sanibel Moorings has direct access to more than 20 miles of paved bike paths that criss-cross Sanibel Island.
